In No More Anarchy[]
Like in the original game, King Asgore and Queen Toriel ruled the Underground for millennia after humans sealed monsters Underground upon their defeat during the war. Toriel and Asgore later had a son, Asriel, and adopted the first human to fall into the Ruins.
The tragedy of his children's deaths leads Asgore to declare war on humanity in a fit of anger. He swore to kill any human that fell into the Underground and planned to use their SOULs to break the barrier and destroy all humans. Toriel, disgusted with him, left New Home and returned to the Ruins.
However unlike in the game, The monster had a very small on getting out alone, Resulting in only a few monster leaving so far. However like the remaining monster, Asgore wish to find out how to get everyone free. Also like the other monsters, He remember a human he met that help him out, But cannot remember him after a long time.
During Flowey invasion in the Undertale Saga, Asgore fought Razor and lost to him, Being killed by Flowey in order to obtain his souls to become Omega Flowey. After Flowey was defeated, He promise to bring Asgore back for Gingka Storm in hope that one day, He'll become more powerful to face him again.
Later on out of no where, Razor absorbed Asgore soul with the help of Chara in order to not only give Razor a stronger monster to summon but as well attempt to cause a war between Human and Monster once more. This failed when even with Asgore power, Razor was defeated by May Star and Chara was later killed from Razor Willpower against her. All before Flowey absorbed everyone soul to become his normal self in order to fight Gingka as promise. Asgore became one of the lost soul that Gingka saved during his battle and have no form of memories after it.
Some time later after his battle against the Vanguards did he agree to start anew with Toriel thank to his changed heart, Promising to start a newer future with her. This was later announce when Asriel the 2nd was born.
